Ben Affleck's 'The Town' as Good as 'Heat'?
Here's the French poster for 'The Town', directed by and starring Ben Affleck.
I like this approach. Good for an ensemble piece. The cool color balance has the right look for a crime thriller in which the characters are internally conflicted, which is the feel I get from the trailer.
The quote from Premiere, "Un Thriller Redoutable Dans la Lignee de 'Heat'", translates (by Google Docs) as "thriller formidable in the line of Heat". (I'm assuming the quote comes from the French Premiere, although I couldn't find it via Google).
So how would that read on a US one-sheet? What would be an equivalent English quote? 'The best crime thriller since Heat. 'Ben Affleck's The Town is as gripping as Heat'.
The trailer is very good, reflects a lot of potential, but still, that's a pretty bold claim. Not sure it will hold up, but if 'The Town' is half as good as 'Heat' it's safe to say Ben Affleck's comeback is a done deal.
