Will Ferrell talks 'Everything Must Go'

At 2:20 Ferrell says about CJ Wallace's acting, he 'just has it', and they needed that because they didn't have the luxury of a lot of takes, didn't have a lot of film stock.

Okay, agree. The kid is a natural. He does have an unfettered non-technique. Comes across believable while still acting, working off Ferrell. Hope to see him in a lot of good stuff.

But -- what strikes me about the comment -- just how tight are budgets these days? They didn't have a lot of film stock? Really... I know film is expensive but having to get stuff in a take or two because you don't have the film seems telling. They used to send miles (literally) of film to the editor for final cut. Times have changed.

Just an observation.
