Trailer for 'Just Like Us'

You know how a lot of comics/comedians in this country have that forced energy? Like they've had enough coffee but decided to have some more? We take comedy for granted here, there's tons of live clubs, shows on TV, etc., and the freshness can be missing in performances. Audiences are inured. They've heard so many jokes it's not funny anymore. So comedians push the boundaries, make it more raw. But, it doesn't get funnier it just gets strained.

These guys aren't like that, don't have that feel. This has that vibe you get when someone is telling a funny-ass story, and you know it's funny while they're still telling it, and you know that when they get to the pay-off everybody's gonna laugh until they cry, and you're just waiting for it. This documentary has that. You're just waiting for the punchline, and you know it's gonna be good.
