'The East'

Was surprised to see Ellen Page is in this movie. While 'The East' seems just the kind of movie Brit Marling does -- threaded with the not-so-obvious -- it's the opposite of what Page usually does -- typically, direct and front-loaded.

Marling has yet to do a project that appeals to me, but Page always does. So, I'm a bit torn.

'The East' Trailer

We're probably going to hear a lot of people say they like this. Those that wouldn't like it won't see it. Those that don't care won't see it. But, those that see it should like it. So, it will seem like a really cool movie but very few people will catch it or talk about it.

If it pans out I'll rent it and watch a few minutes at a time.
