Trailer for 'Admission'

Not haha funny, but it gots...is 'soul' the word? Okay, sticking to brass tacks, it has a spine. It grabs you. I gets under your skin?

I don't know, but it's Tina Fey (and some guy -- Paul Rudd I think), that means you have to pay attention. And, I did. I paid attention. And, I can say this trailer isn't funny like you'd expect from a comedy but it's funny in that way you wish your day could be. Like when something embarrassing happens and it's just plain not comfortable and you wish you could stop time, tweak it, maybe give the dialogue a rewrite or something, and make it into 'humorous' instead of 'omg I want to get out of here'. It's funny like that. Hypothetically, that is.

There. I think that says it.

So. I watched, couldn't take my eyes off, never lost interest, never really thought it was 'laugh...now' funny but always liked what I was seeing, always thought it plays just so.

This could be good.

Red Band Trailer for 'Wanderlust'

This is one of those movies that, after I've seen the trailer a couple times, I figure there's no reason to invest 90 minutes more of my life. It's not bad, really, but do I need to see a movie that bad?

New Poster for 'Our Idiot Brother'

They finally quit messing around and came up with a poster that doesn't make you feel like 'our idiot moviegoer'. Nice layout. This one sheet has appeal.

Much better than the first tries. Man...can't even hardly look at these.

The Ten

I'm not sure why but I really like 'The Ten'. Movie is ten vignettes each somehow related to the Ten Commandments (does that get capitalized?). Trailer looks very good, but it's not the kind of thing that usually has wide appeal (one can hope though).

Terry Gross talks with Paul Rudd, who introduces each story and stars in one of them. Rudd is yet another actor who was involved with 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' and (or) 'Knocked Up'. He talks about how he got Judd Apatow's email address, how old he was when his horrendous acne finally cleared up, why they sang Afternoon Delight in 'Anchorman', and how old he was when he finally figured out what the song Afternoon Delight is really about.

Terry Gross' interviews are the best.
