New Poster/Trailer for Jennifer Lynch's Brutal 'Chained'

Well, the still used in the video player is from a plotline not seen in the trailer. As if the flick wasn't grinding enough. This looks to have the makings of a cult fave.

Apparently, there's no theatrical release on the books at this point, which doesn't make sense considering the poor execution of a lot of horror movies that make it to theaters. With Vincent D'Onofrio in what looks like to be an intense turn as the misaligned cab driver you'd think this would get at least a limited release. Seems like this would play.

Currently, due on DVD/Blu-ray October 2, 2012. But, you never know. Anchor Bay may be testing the water.

Poster for Jennifer Lynch's 'Chained'

Graphic works well. Captures that twisted/cluttered psych energy everyone goes for in serial killer thrillers while maintaining clean lines. Here's the pitch:

• Bob, a cab-driving serial killer who stalks his prey on the city streets alongside his reluctant protégé Tim, who must make a life or death choice between following in Bob's footsteps or breaking free from his captor.

Great concept with plenty headroom for plot twists and character arc. Vincent D'Onofrio and Julia Ormond are really strong, plus you know when a poster looks this polished this early in the campaign it's gonna be good.

Movie has wrapped but no release date yet. 

Here's a placeholder poster for Lynch's next film, 'A Fall From Grace', which is in pre-production.

The logline:

• Detective Michael Tabb knows the city of St. Louis inside and out. He has felt its true heart, as much as its dark underbelly: but he does not know who, in both the dark and light - is taking the lives of young girls. 

Looking forward. You can just tell Lynch has it together.

Trailer for 'Sinister'

This looks good. Camera is well done, a cut above for this kind of product. Ethan Hawke finds the groove, as does Vincent D'Onofrio (normal for both). Seems like there's potential for a real story, real arc.

And, perhaps most noteworthy, the premise actually clicks. That an evil entity connects via imagery (like in a film or video) and becomes one with the viewer of such media (a twist on the urban legend which was the basis for 'The Ring') is scary and, considering this is in fact a movie, it might cause a bit of giddy niggling fright in the back of the minds of kids in the audience who might sense the creeping signs and symptoms of early-onset demonic possession as the film progresses.
