'Ironclad' Clip

Love this movie. Clips have displayed some odd technique, posters and trailers have been erratic, but I've always loved 'Ironclad'.

So fix the editing/camera as much as can be, make a good poster, and release the damn thing.

Meanwhile, here's Brian Cox and Paul Giamatti going toe to toe.

Clip from 'Ironclad'

Ironclad New clip by teasertrailer

An Even Better Looking Trailer for 'Ironclad'

Saw the first trailer, what, a year ago? Could have been. Then a poster or two (that don't seem to get mentioned much). Then, silence. Campaign doesn't pick up steam it just goes away. Like there's issues with the film or no funds for marketing.

Trailers are knocking me out. Love Paul Giamatti as the bad bad king. Also with Brian Cox, James Purefoy, Charles Dance, Kate Mara, and Jason Flemyng. With that cast, and trebuchets hurling boulders, will see.

'Barney's Version'

Trailer has that Paul Giamatti thing -- can't take your eyes off it, can't believe the nutty yet compelling nature of the story, can't believe how much you identify with the kooky protagonist, can't believe you can't wait to see the movie.

'Barney's Version'

I pass on most stuff like this, but 'Barney's Version' looks like a good time. Nice to see Minnie Driver in stuff again. Where'd she go?

Cult Status

Shoot 'Em Up

Word of 'Shoot 'Em Up' with Paul Giamatti and Clive Owen has been trickling out for months now. Here is the first legit looking trailer. Giamatti plays Mr. Hertz. Get it? 'Hertz'. (Wow that takes balls). Look for this one to attain cult status.

Shoot 'Em Up

Shoot Em Up

Notice anything funny about the above still? That's right -- that's Paul Giamatti and Clive Owen in a Woo/Tarantino-style stand-off from the upcoming crime/action movie 'Shoot 'Em Up'.

I first saw a teaser for this several months ago and knew within a couple seconds this would be one to watch for. FirstShowing.net has snagged another trailer -- this will put Giamatti and Owen in a new class. Giamatti especially will be much more mainstream after this movie comes out.

Movie features some of the most inventive gunplay I've ever seen. Why it's being kept so hush-hush I can't figure -- maybe it's to avoid 'Giamatti as tough-guy with gun' shock... Anyway, due in September.
