Visually and concept-wise this still has the wow factor of the first trailer, but as we get a grip on plot details it gets a bit bogged down. Just not sensing kids will be able to grasp what's going on, or if they get it I don't think it will resonate.
And, that DreamWorks brand of animation -- just so cold. The way hair looks (it moves in slow motion), the doll eyes/plastic faces and robotic shows of emotion -- a far cry from Pixar magic especially after 'Brave'.
With this trailer RotG has moved to the 'see-it-when-you-get-around-to-it' list.
